Hiker’s Cabins

Are you a site operator who wishes to offer ramblers, hikers and cyclists simple but good short-stay accommodation? Do you wish to enjoy the advantages of joint promotion? If so, we invite you to join our network of accredited Hiker’s Cabins (Trekkershutten).

There are currently some 750 accredited cabins at 250 locations throughout the Benelux countries and the German border region. De Groene Koepel is working to maintain and expand this network. We play an important role in safeguarding quality by means of the accreditation scheme and regular inspections.

Membership benefits

• Your accredited Hiker’s Cabin will form part of a unique and recognizable network.
• You will be entitled to use the registered and protected logo in all your promotional material.
• Your site will be included in the annual Hiker’s Cabins Map (Trekkershuttenkaart).
• You will have your own sub-page and link-through at www.trekkershutten.nl.
• Your site will be included in all marketing and promotional activities undertaken by De Groene Koepel, including press advertising, the visitors’ stand at public events, social media communications and various public awareness campaigns.
• We organize an annual conference at which you will have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with other operators.
• We are always on hand to provide information and advice.
• And, not unimportantly, you will be joining an organization which cares for its network and works on your behalf with great enthusiasm!
